Safeguarding Principles
When Working with Your School
Before Engagement
- Review your school's safeguarding policy
- Identify your Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Understand your reporting procedures
- Complete any required visitor protocols
During Training
- Maintain professional boundaries at all times
- Never be alone with a student without school staff present
- Report any concerns to your DSL immediately
- Follow your school's photography/recording policies
After Engagement
- Maintain confidentiality of any concerns raised
- Follow up through appropriate school channels only
- Document any incidents according to your procedures
- Support any ongoing safeguarding processes as needed
